Student Leaders

Each year the School community elects two School Captains and two Vice-Captains to provide leadership to the student body and engage with the School's Leadership Team. The School Captains are supported by School Prefects, House Captains, Co-Curricular Captains, Committee Chairs and Primary School leaders. These important leadership roles enable students to further develop and explore their leadership skills and to represent their fellow students in a range of ways.

School Captain

Martha Dingle

"I am from Tannum Sands. I play many sports, both social and competitive, and love to get involved in every co-curricular I can. This year, I am looking forward to seeing our School show-up for each other at all our co-curricular events. What I love most about RGS is our friendliness, that everyone looks out for each other as one community and that cares for everyone. I cannot wait to see more of this as we move through 2024."

School Captain

Riley Sullivan

"I was raised on a property in the Springsure district and love all kinds of sport. I play a variety of sports, including rugby, cricket, and touch, but I'm willing to play any sport if the opportunity presents itself. The co-curricular programme is something that I love about this School, and I look forward to seeing as students as possible participating in the range of activities that are offered."

School Vice-Captain

Gracie Finger

"I live on a cattle property near Clermont and have been a boarder at RGS since Year 7. During the last five years, one of the best things about being here has been the wonderful friendships I’ve made and the excellent opportunities I’ve had. I think it is important to step up for each other in small moments in day-to-day life, because when we feel cared about, we thrive!"

School Vice-Captain

Lachlan Wilson

"I live on a property north of Dingo. I like maths, music, and debating. This year, I am really excited to get out and contribute to as many things as I can, and I would love to see many of you doing the same thing so we can really hone that sense of unity and connectedness we share as a school."

I am passionate about embracing others for who they are, respecting one another, overcoming life’s obstacles, and creating a safe environment for all of my peers at RGS to grow.”Lilly Fraser, 2023 School Vice-Captain
